THANKS T***Y ! :p

Before the perf i was dancing socially and i felt taht i was on fire. Tink the nice clothing helped. WIll definitely wear nicer nxt time @ union :p (or maybe the music was differnt and refreshing)

so glad to all those pple that came to support our team and me :) THANK YOU EVERYBODY ! *hugs and kisses*

on a small funny note, did u know wat i was tinkin abt when i was performing?

I was wondering if my fly was undone. :p i went to the toilet b4 the perf in a hurry and was desperately trying to rem when doing the choreo if my fly was undone :) hahahah

tango beginner 2

oh i almost forgot to mention,

we started tango beg 2 already :) am feeling fairly @ ease dancing tango now. We learnt a "shoe shine" move. Basically its an excuse for the gals (or guys) to rub their shoes on the other's leg.

Hey those who took pics that day when we were tangoing, where are the PICS ?

Thank you for Smoking

Pretty good sattire about a topic that's rather sensitive esp in USA where there has always been a debate on whether the rich big companies are subtly controlling the politics of USA. The humor is very prevalient throughout the movie and I think its a very good way of trying to bring a message across, flirting with sensitive topics and yet still manage to bring humor across the screen. Bravo director!

xmas

someone's listening to xmas music in my office *faint*

yay got a new toy today. Well its not really a toy.. but i've been using my pc very often and nowadays i realise my mouse-hand (the hand that "plays with" the mouse) is kinda feeling strained recently. I concluded taht my big hand and long fingers require a big mouse instead of the itty bitty ones that i have. So after looking ard and testing it out just now, i findally decided on the Logitech G7 wireless laser mouse :p

Its big, comfy for my hands (i hope my hand will get further strained) and is wireless wif rechargable batt packs (no more buying AAs !). Cant wait to use it heheh

Mater's philosophy :)

"Aint need to know where i'm going;
Just need to know where i've been"

:)

Yay !

yay ! we won 1st prize in the Dnd Dance competition. :P Lotsa hard work we put into choreographing and planning and lotsa time spent... however when it all came to crunch time, i forgotten like most of the choreo :(
Like into the..... 10th bar of 8 of the song ? i screwed up and we were smiling and laughing @ each but basically we were pretending and doing social salsa. hheehEHHEheheeh....

oh well, nevertheless i had great fun there :P The MC was a riot. He was the same mc that hosted the party @ velvet where we performed as well..He's not yr regular flying dutchman style.. but slightly more heartlander style i feel.. in a nutshell, he's like an ah beng mc. But was pretty cool.

One lesson i learnt that night was, think before you speak. They had this video presentation where they interviewed long term employees.. One of them (i think) din really know wat to say or did not think things thru but she mentioned she has been stuck in this cubicle for a long time !
The the ultimate was when they invited the guest of honor up and he and the rest of the VIPs were to cut a cake. He then made a speech. Now, on hindsight, I suspect he wanted to tell the group that they were resilient and flexible. However the example he used could have been better. He casually mentioned that one of the VIPs din know how to cut the cake. Why ? Because she was not married so she din know how to cut the cake. But she was flexible enough and perservered and manage to get the job done. SO just like the group, they succeeded.
I was like OMG....wat an example to use and broadcast and remind everyone that this VIP was NOT married!

OMG....
So lesson learnt :)

I missed the group's celebration of CElestine's BD though, but i heard she was fed an insane concotion of liquor and thus was konked out within 10 mins :P Hahahah HAppy Birthday Celestine !

*now i m starting 2 get worried*

Rainbow Connection

Why are there so many songs about rainbows
and what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
and rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it.
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Who said that every wish would be heard
and answered when wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that and someone believed it.
Look what it's done so far.
What's so amazing that keeps us star gazing
and what do we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

All of us under its spell. We know that it's probably magic.

Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name.
Is this the sweet sound that called the young sailors.
The voice might be one and the same.
I've heard it too many times to ignore it.
It's something that I'm supposed to be.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

one of my all time fav songs, esp the Kermit version :)

So Nice

Someone to hold me tight
That would be very nice
Someone to love me right
That would be very nice
Someone to understand
Each little dream in me
Someone to take my hand
And be a team with me

So nice, life would be so nice
If one day I'd find
Someone who would take my hand
And samba through life with me

Someone to cling to me
Stay with me right or wrong
Someone to sing to me
Some little samba song
Someone to take my heart
And give his heart to me
Someone who's ready to
Give love a start with me

Oh yeah, that would be so nice
I could see you and me, that would be nice

Someone to hold me tight
That would be very nice
Someone to love me right
That would be very nice
Someone to understand
Each little dream in me
Someone to take my hand
To be a team with me
So nice, life would be so nice
If one day I'd find
Someone who would take my hand
And samba through life with me

Someone to cling to me
Stay with me right or wrong
Someone to sing to me
Some little samba song
Someone to take my heart
And give his heart to me
Someone who's ready to
Give love a start with me

Oh yes, that would be so nice
Shouldn't we, you and me?
I can see it will be nice...

OMFG.....

my blog was spammed !!! :( stp... i hope whoever u r, will have constipation beyond compare and your hair will start falling off and u will get hurt where its the most sensitive

Interesting observations...

by now you all know which company i have joined. Its www.welcome-rt.com. So yesterday was my first day, we went thru the usual rounds of hellos and the typical greeting would go like this:

"hi xxxx, this Kai Liang, he will be joining the Projects team"
"oh hi! Welcome..."

Now in this regard, its quite amusing. Why? cos of my co's own name. Everytime someone says "welcome", i can't help but snicker.

On another note,

The TISSUE PAPER phenom

If i were a sociology student writing a thesis? I would write a paper on this penomenum. Because I feel that why it happens so far only in Singapore, what it entails, what it reveals abt the subconsciousness of us Singaporeans can be very insightful of the society that we grew up in.

Anyone else wanna comment on this?

A new beginning

Yesterday i started my new job. New beginning. The company is pretty small(locally) compared the my previous jobs and its expanding rapidly. The scale of projects its receiving is pretty big which accounts for influx of newbies like me.

Will need some time to integrate into the team and my colleagues. Most of my colleagues are foreigners so there are actually like maybe 50% singaporeans and 50% other nationalities. Probably around 30% ladies.

:) I hope this will be a new start and new beginning :)

Superman Returns

watched superman returns.. in my superman T ! :p hahaha.. well its not exactly super spectacular show.. kevin spacy was being his usual "charming" self.. i started liking his acting from American Beauty. That was a goot show. This is just to showcase superman to the millions of younger generation that did not have the same benefits as we did the last time.

The main score never fails to make me puff my chest out hahha...

Tango practica @ jitterbugs was pretty ok. they are quite pro so i feel like Salsa 101 again. But i think i'm getting more comfy wif the music and how i am suppose to lead with intention and with my chest.

chest chest chest.

so much chest :p
