7-11 mania

Is it me or has 7-11s been popping out everywhere like a teenager in puberty hell?
I mean wat gives? I heard that franchise is a lucrative business but this is getting out of hand. It doesn't make good business sense when 2 7-11s open just opposite each other across the road!
Don't tell me these business owners are doing MBAS (mass bombardment advertising system)..
