Now over the past month, my bro has been keeping my parents in the dark about something. And that is that he and alison will be coming back on her birthday to celebrate for her. So I know about it as i was to pick him up and stuff and then surprise my mom by cooking steak for her and thus we have a nice family gathering cum mom birthday celebration.

Now my mom has been rather "noisy" because she was bemoaning the fact that my bro should have come bac earlier ah, come bac to celebrate the new year and birthday with her ah etc etc. Basically my mom missed my bro and she dun understand why he dun come bac. Well today we sprung the surprise on her and boy was she happy. HAhahah.. she told us she did suspect a bit because my bro did some stuff that were not of his normal nature. So did i. But well overall i think the effect was good in the end. Dinner's soon and I CANT WAIT !

Last sat rachel threw a threesome.... as in 30something party for her frens at the new disco place called St James powerhouse. The location is rather happening and very soon we run out of sitting space n have to stand around whilst pple r trying to get rachel drunk. Hhahah.. the smoke wasnt doing too well for my dear's eyes though..*hugs*... sorry i shld have been more sensitive abt it...

anyways.. the cake was highlighted by a huge chocolate dick hahaha but was too crowded to see anything else. The supposed "stripper" was disappointing though.

Oh whilst we were driving off, we heard a bang in the carpark of Vivo. Then i looked and noticed this car driving off. It had just hit the wall and had some car parts left behind. Then the car drove off and out of sight. Then i heard another BANG this time. And as we were driving out we saw the car again. This time however it smacked right into the pillar. They brought the guy out and he was STONE DRUNK. Good lord, imagine wat might happen if he manage to get out of the car park and do more damage. Sheesh :(

Yesterday i send off my dear to macau. We spent a wonderful night and its the first time i visited the BUDGET terminal. Good lord what a crappy crappy place. But since they slap on the label BUDGET, guess we are suppose to close 1 eye :p

hope my baby has a great time with her family over in macau ! :p

It was good to catch up with close JC frens last nite @ Marcus's place. Way cool place btw with large open living room space and a nice balcony area where one can chill and watch the rain fall down. He rears Arrowanas and keeps many large tadpoles to feed them. Watching all the tadpoles squirm in the fishtank gives us the creeps! Morbidly however we were fascinated when he fed some to the fishes and we were watching in awe as the fishes swam around and gobbled them up. Its like a....childlike morbid interest in something that is rather brutal actually. Hahahahaha....

Anyway i brought my autograph book which i got them to sign on when we were in JC and it was a blast for them to read their comments again last nite. AHahhaha...

We played a game of citadels and it was rather fun i must say.

I am SOOOO glad my baby was there with me even though i must admit i din give her enough attention .... hehehehe :p Now i'm looking forward to trying Cacassonne with her hahaha.. ought to be VERY interesting and fun :p

My fren mentioned when i was sending my baby and him back last nite that its the least a bf can do (the sending the gf back bit). To which my baby replied "no, its no obligation" to which my fren replied "wow dats really nice of u..."

She blogged about this in her blog so i shall blog abt it somewat in mine too (fair's fair hehehe) but anyway, i'm really glad that she has a mature view on this. Rather than expect the bf to do certain things, she's really cool with me doing what i wanna do and then she do what she wanna do..

luckily it just happens i like to do stuff she likes me to do with/for her and i like the stuff she likes to do with/for me

bravo japanese manga scriptwriters.. bravo. Initially the 1st Death Note i had thought it was some scary B grade movie thingie, but then i watched the Anime and was intrigued by the plot twists and the script itself. Bravo.
The 2nd one kinda ties up all the lose ends and has its own multiple twists and cliff hangers. And like the manga, there was a good mixture of humor in as well which is good.

That's why i love to watch anime :p

Its Christmas !

Yay.... christmas.. our first christmas together and it was splendid. Xmas eve we went to her family + relatives place for some awesome food. Turkey, ham and her mom's special mango pomelo dessert.

SATISFYING sia... hahha..... then we went back to her place to watch her brother's response to the xbox360 that we all got for him just a while back (btw i'm SOOOOO enjoying my xbox360 now... and i got my baby hooked on Viva Pinata :p hehheeheheh ). Initially her bro tot it was some other gift that we got for him (cos serene initially got this MOnopoly Card game version and he knew about it).... then we say that the actual gift is on his bed. When he saw it he couldnt believe his eyes. It was too big and too heavy for him to think of what it might be. When he opened it, i think his heart must have done so many backflips and his eyes could have popped right out of the socket. Heheeheh.. he was THAT happy. I think that was my highlight for that night. No wait, one of the many highlights .. and that is to make someone really happy...

After that met up wif my salsa kakis for gift exchange @ VinoVino which was really nice to see them again. We clowned ard a little then after that retired for the night =) will post the pics when i get them

The other highlight was when i received cuff links from my baby. Heheheehh and they are really really nice. Pictures are here

Then this xmas morning i gave my dad his xmas gift which was a shaver which he wanted some time but we discouraged him from buying. ahhahaah.. my mom i still owe the gift so will make it up to her some other time. We met some of the other salsa peeps and exchanged gifts.

that's what i tot the movie was.. E-dragon.. instead of "error-gone" :P
Movie was written by a 17 yr old i think and it shows. Nothing really fancy though if the words and sayings WERE written by him, then its at least somewat impressive. The movie reminds me a lot of DRAGONLANCE though and i guess they summarize the novel else I am not too sure what made the novel a bestseller.
Speaking of which, why hasnt someone done a trilogy on DRAGONLANCE? I mean i'm pretty sure there's enough material to fill up 3 movies of CGI and special effects no?

On a more personal note, I am beginning to enjoy these rather spontaneous dates with my baby. Last time i would prefer like maybe 3 days of mental planning before going out and what not. Last nite we decided during the day to pick her up after her lessons and then scoot over to Plaza Sg for Eragon. I think i MOST enjoy it because i got to spend time with my baby

Its been raining on n off today. On and off.. On and off.. Suddenly heavier, suddenly slacken off. Amazingly unpredictable weather.

Even then, my dear planned a pre-xmas pre-bd dinner @ senso for my parents and me.
Senso's pretty cool place... very got the MOOD :P

Food was pretty good.. its quite a amazing fusion of tastes. Cabonara was excellent. :)

Then there was the dessert.... *drool*.... enugh said heheheh

After that spent good quality time wif my dearest....

u know there's something to be said for the past making a person. But when the past causes someone u hold dear to tear and unhappy, u cant help but wish there is just something u can do to ease the pain...

Olympus Scavenger Hunt

After our "Xbox360" foray, we sped on down to Tampines Courts. Man was i fast. And in the pouring rain some more! *Eeps*
Nevertheless I reached just in time and we waited a bit more before we started off. So the salsa kakis are all there and we were basically entertaining ourselves before the start. Its nice to see everyone on a non-salsa context :P
The organisers were qutie smart. They fetched us by bus all the way over there before they started the race. Thus all our cars that are parked @ Ikea/Courts cant be used.
There was some initial confusion in the beginning but then our team leader came back to us with instructions and suddenly pple started running ala Amazing Race. We ran from high Street all the way to fullerton before we heard the news that we had to go back for the start.

Then we started again and off we were running. Omg i never seen my dear run like that before. She was WAY WAY COOL. She planned the routes, ran from point to point and was cool calm collected. I'm so proud of her :p and me ? well.... I just sucked @ running. AHhahahahah... *FATFATFAT*
But its nice when she turns around to smile @ me, open her arms to hug me or run hand-in-hand with me. *bliss*

Finally we reached the start point again but my dear had a little "accident" :( i felt kinda bad but i couldnt really do anything about it. Still i am amazed by her strength. I mean i read about and heard about how strong she is... so today was definitely a good experience for us as a couple. Fun Fun Fun !

Pity we din win anything though for all the effort....

Yesterday was our first foray out of MIND's cafe. We went to PITSTOP cafe @ 14B circular road. Pretty "young" place as its abt 1 year old so compared to MIND's and SETTLERS, its a newbie. Its run by 4 pple, out of which 2 are married and are friends of Serene's. I guess it still has room for improvement? Last night there were only 2 grps of pple including my grp so business I reckon is so-so only. Its not really cosy and i guess is more catered to the younger crowd (with all the pictures and graffiti on the walls). We played 3 new games though and they are quite fun. suitable for the big group type.

I dun really know wats the name of this game called but its to do with dwarves and mining. Basically through placement of cards to simulate "digging", the good dwarves have to work together to find the gold nugget out of 3 covered cards at the end. Working against these dwarves are a number of saboteurs which make the game definitely much more interesting. A game worth revisiting :)

SWAP! This is like a combination of heart attack + bluff + uno all rolled into 1. Very fun with cards that totally throw your whole game into disarray so basically its never really quite fixed till near the end. Clear the glasses from the tables though before you start else you will see liquids flying everywhere !

iMaginiff, a game where you have to judge for yourself what the popular opinion is to go up the ladder. Its rather simple game but the rules can be interpreted differently thus the gameplay is slightly different. THe original intent is for you to guess what pple think you are. However if the rest of the pple gang up and together, they have popular opinion and thus they get to move a step. Not too bad though.

Oh and my dear is BACCCCCCCC :p

Again another fun filled weekend with my baby...

lets see....

friday went to Union for Leon n Raymond's birthday party celebration (please gimme the pics anyone?) That was kinda fun and Melissa actually arranged a surprise for raymond in the Amara Hotel room. Pity raymond cant drink much though...hhhhahaha

Sat I was an assistant for my dear's salsa class. Pretty interesting small group and I hope i din screw up too much by the way / steps that i thought ! heheh.. Then we went Xmas shopping and at night we drove to Sarimbun Camp for her Scout Group's campfire. Wow Sarimbun campsite has changed rather drastically. Now there is AIRCON ! omg... and TV !!!! OMG OMG OMG... The campfire was pretty small but the MC was quite enthusiastic and quite good. They have a series of little cheers that I never knew existed and at the same time the old campfire songs i knew they don't really know. But all in all it was quite a good experience. Though driving there can be quite scary cos its a long long long road and very dark. Taxis must be hard to convince to drive pple in or fetch pple :)

Sun.. now sun was quite fun-ny. We went to Hbf to meet up her parents (as they just got off from cruise). Then shopping around Vivo with her mom. After that we decided to go Taka. Now @ the carpark i was kinda lost (got down from wrong exit) and asked:
"hey do you remember the color? {of the carpark area where i parked}"
To which my dear replied:
"Silver {my car is silver}"
To which i said:
"I meant where i parked la not my car color. I know my car color"
To which we 3 started laughing like crazy. Ehehehehe..Definitely was a good sunday afternoon. Oh yea her mom met my parents and she visited our new home. Which was cool as every1 clicked. Yay!

@ Nite i went for my JC fren's wedding. Good lord the parking was horrible. I had to wait for 30 mins in a queue to get into the multistorey car park. Luckily i manage to get a slot @ level 2 then went to eat. The table we had was horrible. Behind pillars and so we cant see the stage or the projection screen @ all. Food was good though and i am sooooo stuffed :(

Pretty interesting show and there was a fair amount of fighting and shooting as most war movies nowadays are. The story tells of politics and the concept of heroes and what it really means or who heroes really are. Not too bad and not over gory or over the top.

Sent my bro + wife off on fri for they having a 2nd wedding party in australia. Then had a kaki gathering cum Kelvin's belated BD celebration on sat. Was very fun we played Citadels and "Thurns and Taxis" and mahjong. Elaine was the winner (no surprise there :P ) n i think the gang generally enjoyed Citadels. Yay !

Nowadays i can be found grinning most of the time and we all know the reason why :p thanks baby !

nowadays its usually at least 1 bout of downpour during the day. either in the morning or the afternoon. Makes for a cooling day. Well i've no complaints as long as i dun get soaked whilst coming bac from lunch or going back home :)

After my bro's wedding ? we chilled out with "Poetry in Motion - Johnny Tillotson in Concert" at the Esplanade Concert Hall. Man i gotta tune in to gold90.5 more often heheh. I tot i knew oldies pretty well but man i think my dear 1up over me on this :p Songs were pretty good. His voice is still superb. And he was a charmer that one. All the aunties (yes i suspect we are like maybe 1 of the 5 young couples amongst the many older generation couples that attended the concert) were swooning over him and asking him for autographs, hugs, dates etc etc etc. Pretty amazing how they still love him/his music over the years.

I commented that maybe 50 yrs later when Aaron Kwok holds a concert in Singapore, my generation pple will attend the concert and we will all attempt to do his signature move "Wo tui ni ai ai ai bu wan...."

hahaahahh that would be hilarious.... :P

After all the panicking and the rushing the day finally arrived.
Things pretty much fall into place even though there were a lot of anxiety (esp from my parents) so that was good :)
Tea ceremony at our place was funny because we din really know how the procedure should go and who should go first and all that. ahhaah.. but i suspect my family weren't really bothered by the specifics, just wanna get it over with.
Church was nice. Airy, white, my mom loved the atmosphere. Lotsa songs of praise and meeting the in-laws. I think the most significant part of the Church portion was when my brother sang a song to his wife. His voice cracked and all and it was truly touching. It followed by thank yous to my parents and everyone that made it happen. Now THAT made a few pple tear up. Hardly do you see my parents cry these days but these are tears of joy and happiness. I'm glad. After that we moved on to lunch @ the Hyatt.
Frantic scanning of the table list to place pple at the various tables. Then move in to sit and eat and enjoy the dinner. Now usually I'm on the guest side and we have time to chit chat and catch up and stuff. Today I was on the VIP side and its amazing fast how time flies by with the food and all. Time really is relative depending on your perspective i must say. Oh and the food was pretty good too! Not to mention the MCing received rave reviews. Well done baby! :p
After which we proceeded to the hotel room where everyone had to go see (machum like show flat viewing like that). Then we had tea ceremony for alison's side of the family and then that was the end! Yoohoo ! a long day..... and its finally come and gone! A new life and a new chapter for my brother! I just want to wish them every success in what they plan to do, be it in singapore or in australia, know that we are always here for you and alison. *love hugs and manly kisses*

Happy feet! :P yay a very very good show to watch. I think robin williams and his gang of the smaller penguins totally stole the show from the rest. The singing was good too ! meshing several songs together is pretty good. I think the soundtrack will make a good present. Must watch i would say :)

Went to watch this with my baby (thanks for watching a war movie wif me!!) Its a pretty interesting movie because of the topic they address. It sure aint what i thought it was going to be (another saving private ryan wannabe). Instead it touches on the topic of how pple are still distracted by race/maybe even religion even though they are fighting the same enemy and dying together on the same battleground.

Probably a very contraversial movie but very deep nevertheless....

company day + sentosa = lotsa interesting stories, sweat inducing games and interesting dinner + entertainment. All in all it was a rather interesting day with its ups and downs and things to observe, especially.

I shall not dwell into much but i would just like to say this is the most interesting / colorful bunch of colleagues i've ever encountered. Most of the time pple i meet r rather harmless sort.. i have to make sure that i be more aware now....

the best part ? that i met my baby and went to usq wif her. It was way way crowded because of Gupson's birthday. Had lotsa fun ! Met shing-a-ling-a-ling's boyboy also. HAhaaaha... everyone was so polite and nice ... hhehe

Alison treated my whole family (+ 1 new member :p ) to a nice dinner @ Outback Steakhouse last nite @ M.walk. Food was pretty good! Lotsa MEAT and CHEESE and FRIES/POTATOES. Good lord i need to be on veggie diet or something this week! *bleah*
We had fun, chatting and eating and it was a nice bonding experience. Yay!

My fren described the movie best.. its like a Western version of Dragonball. Lots of QI gong flying here and there. The actors are quite hot though, swimmers body good face. But they all look very similar except for blondie.

Nice chillout show to watch after a long week of work and dampness :)
Very inspiring to watch but its quite similar to the whole dance movie sets (where 2 pple from 2 different schools of dance coming together, bonding and merging and make a final dance together). Story's the same but mostly i go to watch for the dance moves and sequences. Which is really cool and motivates me to wanna learn more and improve myself on my dance moves.

Oh met the LADC peeps (hello!) who were watching too. I bet the hip hop moves must've been interesting for them :P

I had a nice night out! wonderful way to spend a friday :P

President's Scout Chapter Investiture @ the Istana

Hong Leng has started a President's Scout Chapter and we were all there for the investiture yesterday where we are now Chapter members. The ceremony was quite formal and all and the President asked me what i did. I should have commented about the selling art stuff that i'm trying to start. Oh well. There will be other chances :)

Was a good time to see old friends again and wonder how come most of the higher-ups in the HQ have such big bellies. Was a good time to see wats happening in the scout scene. The badges now are SO COLORFUL you half expect them to glow in the dark when they go pubbing (not that they will go disco in scout uniform but you get the drift).

Food was not too good though but was filling enough.

Best part of the whole night? I get to be one of those guys that send the emcee home... HEEHEEHEE

hmmm... i tink.. maybe i din get the more subtle nuances of the film. Overall its mostly a film that i would say is pretty average. Not much revelations and was rather draggy. Initially was quite entertaining, but i think it struggled to wrap things up near the end.

Went to celebrate the birthday of a friend at this place called Miss Clarity @ Purvis st yesterday. COuple of my friends saw a blog talking abt how good the food was etc and thus decided to go check it out.

Place was really a bit too noisy for my own good and i believe they are more like selling a lifestyle than food. Anyway we ordered and the food arrived. The service was kinda lacking. Busy waiters and waiteresses had nary a good smile on their face cos they seemed so stress. But thats ok i guess. Food wise though was a BIG BIG disappointment. Soup was weak (thin) , food was slightly over cooked and not exactly mouth-watering. A friend had an issue with her mashed potatoes. She commented to the waiters that the mashed potatoe had no real potatoe in it (powdered preparation). She wanted it changed or SOMETHING at least. Here's the kicker. The manager came back and commented
"Sorry Madam, I did not know you wanted REAL potatoe in your mashed potatoe"

then he mentioned that they cant replace it and asked my friend will that be fine.
My fren mentioned that does she have a choice? to which he replied
"No..."

last nite i had a nice ACS gathering @ Cornerstone @ robertson quay. Managed to catch up to slightly less than 10 of our classmates. Its pretty amazing that after so long we still look the same! I forgotten to bring along the autograph book that everyone signed oh so long ago but i bet it would be a blast for them to see themselves then and now. Maybe nxt time when we have 4A3 gathering i will share it with them.
On a solemn note though, its sad that there are those amongst our year's cohort in the school have already passed away. Most of these are in the newspapers though so i guess the untimely demise was shocking to many.
Sometimes such gatherings are good because it brings to perspective how short life is. Friends you make in your lifetime come and go.
Sometimes it makes all the little things that you argue about, feel sad about etc seems so insignificant when compared to the bigger scheme of things.

Maybe the guy upstairs has a sense of humor about things :)

Have u ever seen a sky full of stars? Have u ever seen the whole sky full of brilliant sparkling bits of light? I have when i was in New Zealand during my army training. We were outfield and thus far away from city lights. I had just finished checking up on my gear and was ready to turn in when i looked up and the sight took my breath away. The SG skies just CMI CMI CMI man !

Millions of stars filled the entire night sky....fills you with a sense of awe and humility.
I could just spend the whole night standin and staring till my neck aches. I wish I can see the view again soon ! :P

Telepaths!

we actually played 2 games. first was "I'm the Boss" which is a game where u try to make deals, negotiate with other players, sabotage and undercut each other. End result is to get the most $$ from yr deals as possible. We got a surprising winner , Wendy, who claims her accountant skills helped a lot. hahhaha.. we shall see.....

2nd game we played was Telepaths. This game is rather interesting as it involves u and your team mate writing a set number of words based on a card which contains a picture or a word. So for example, you and your partner are suppose to write 5 words based on a picture of the american flag. Then you and your partner see how many words you have that are the same and you move that number of steps on the gameboard. Sounds easy? actually its not. I think the most interesting part of the game for me was to see how others think.

You CAN strategize for the game (i.e. ok we describe the object and various colors only ok?) but that will take the fun out of the game. We had loads of laughs seeing how different pple think.. for example, a picture of a deer, pple can write Bambi. Of the word ROME, 1 team member writes Julius, the other writes Caesar. We were wondering if it has got to do with being engineers and accountants and what not. So even if you have limited vocab, watch less tv etc, you still gotta think like your partner for you to win the game.

Now this show i'm glad i caught... its a typical show abt a family that's not working quite right and how a little road trip brought revelations and bonded the family together.

Funny, witty and very believable its pretty easy to understand why this is a sleeper hit. The little gals @ the end all looked like barbie dolls ! OMG.. they were all dolled up and looked like walking talking barbie dolls. Scary stuff....

Pretty interesting movie though i wun really call it a hit. WOody was being himself. And just by being himself he kinda stole the whole show away with his quirks and mannerisms. Hugh jackman was being.. tall and handsome.... and Scarlett Johansson was ... well... trying too hard i guess. I think she kinda puts me off in the movie.. plus she has a damm wierd body shape.. i just cant put my finger on wat though.. HMmmmmm....

but the haze was mostly not too bad last nite and i had great fun talking, listening, watching pple prance and bounce and stuff @ DA:NS... i'm contented...

Another interesting night @ mind cafe, we played 2 new games and they were pretty good...

Shadows Over Camelot:A company of knights is a game based on the King Arthur and the Knights of the round table. There are 2 types of game. One with a traitor knight amongst the players or one without. As beginners, we played without. So as a team, we are suppose to fight against the game itself. To do that we have to put more white swords (gained from winning "quests" around the game board) so that when the round table is filled with swords, there are more white than black. There are 2 other ways where we can lose and that is if all the knights (i.e. players) lose their health (we start with 4) OR if the castle is beseiged with 12 seige engines (i.e. catapults). Pretty long game but once we have more white swords then it gets a bit boring. With the "traitor" element will be more fun i tink.

A Ticket To Ride is a game that involves connecting cities via "purchasing" of railroad tracks and gaining points by number of tracks you have gained + completing missions to connect cities. If however you hold a mission card AND you don't finish the mission, u deduct points instead. This is rather fast paced and fun. Will probably easy to convert to a pc game version though....

i took part again this year.. and well i din win.. but i had a valuable experience with my dad.
The themes are 1) Faces, 2) Power: Simply Red, 3) A Slice of History 4) Darkness

so i was originally taking pics of an artists and i tot of my dad and a piece of artwork he created. Went back home but i din manage to get the kinda effect that i wanted. THen my dad had a brilliant idea. He suggested putting little clay chinese opera masks on his face! then i can take pic as its a intriguing composition! Wow.. my dad was busy marking his art papers initially but he willingly spent time being my "model" for the morning. *very touched*

But i din win. I do feel that my father's pic has a lot of composition, maybe my technique was not good enough to bring it out. I tink i still need lotsa work if i were to get my photography act 2gether ! grrrrr

Its so WIERD ! its as if they are calling a HAZE ALERT on edie !

Singapore Salsa Fest - Rueda and last nite

Yay ! We manage to break the attempt! Ahahahahaha .... it was really quite cool. Initially we had like 150+ couples. Then all of us banded in and started calling pple we know to just come down and join in. Some of the instructors had a rueda churning factory (i.e. they quickly trained basics to pple outside the tent) and then sent them in.

Final count ? 176 couples + 10 moves + 3+ mins = NEW GUINESS RUEDA RECORD !

yay ! ahhah.. m so glad that some of the instructors put in time and effort to help each other for a greater common goal.

Last nite performances were the bomb too, from edie the salsa freak to super mario and susanna and the indonesia team. And we got to see dylan perform too ! ahhah he looks SO MUCH more... un-uncle in his costume. yay dylan !

I tink Edie put it best for the night. Briefly she mentioned that we as a community have been very supportive and strong TOGETHER. She mentioned that we are so together that even the organiser for the year end salsa event invested money and time into this event as well. It is this togetherness that will make the Sg salsa scene successful. She commented that she has been trying to get her hometown Miami to break the rueda record but due to school rivalry, it never gets done.

I sure hope that the salsa peeps in Singapore take a listen and realise that its for bigger goal that we should aim for. Granted some people have to contend with making a living and stuff, but i do feel that support and camaraderie for your fellow instructors / schools / people is very important as well.

This is all the more true when i encountered 2 incidents last nite that turned me off about rivalry/lack of support and general unthoughtfulness. ~sigh~

Met up with mom for lunch to settle the apartment legalities. Lotsa stuff to sign. Din realise my signature's kinda ugly. Gotta change that..

We were talking abt family issues when my mom mentioned that when i was young, i would cry when i was away from mom. This is normal as most kids do when they had to go kindergarden first time, that kinda stuff. On one occasion I came back with tears and asked my mom why other moms can stay @ the kindergarden the whole day and look after their children but mine cant?

She told me this broke her heart and she was a teacher then, decided to do something about it. So she quit and became an insurance agent. And thus we have what we have today mostly due to her hard efforts and her dreams and goal.

I din have any recollection of what i said but i had no idea i would say something that hurtful twds her. folllies of youth and all... sigh..

heheh its a game :) from so long ago. but nevertheless i had loads of fun. its one of those games that u just had to try. Even though i suck @ it (like all simcity games i just cant make $$ enugh bummer..) i still had loads of fun exploring the various reward/punishment establishments and enjoyed the wittiness of the entire game :)

Our little salsa gang gathered @ robin's clan youth activity centre for some fun, food, games and dancing. Originally i think celestine had a lantern making thing for us, but we ended up just chilling, chatting, watching movie, playnig games and salsa dancing :)

pretty nice. Though the haze is getting to me. Irritated throat :(

Angie is leaving for dublin for 2 yrs. Man shure's gonna be fun there for her! Rachel put up a very cool Doc-Nurses theme farewell for her. But i think it was hendra's big big poster and the signatures that finally did her in and she was wet-eyed. Well it was definitely a touching moment. With friends like these, its wat makes your life much more memorable. Even though i've only recently been introduced to the gang so to speak, i can tell that such are the bunch of frens that will stick thru thick and thin. Its not very common that a bunch of pple , brought 2gether by a common interest can bond so readily.

brings to mind what someone famous said:

Happy 96th Birthday Great-grand-ma

Our family + relatives gathered @ my great-grandma place last sun for a buffet lunch cum celebration thingie. My great-grandma is turning 96 today! 96! Wow.. can u imagine what you might be like when u reach 96?
A couple of years ago she was still spritely and can play mahjong till late nights and still win a couple of rounds. That is until she had a fall and then her system kinda started to wind down. Nowadays she cant play mahjong and not as energetic as before. Her memory is still very strong and can remember all our names, however she is getting skinnier and skinnier :( ~sigh~....

still i wish she will be able to carry her great-great-grandson. Then will have wu dai tong tang (5 generations) and i think that will be a grand occasion indeed :)

crossing the street outside amara, chanced about this old man.
he was typically dressed like most of the older folks in sg, carrying a rolled up newspaper in 1 hand and was jaywalking like the rest of us.
Wat's interesting though was that one of the cars drove by and he pointed the newspaper at the car and was doing "piu piu" motions at the car. sort of like he's shooting the car.

i wonder what was on his mind or wat triggered such a reaction...

car wasnt doing much to him, though it seemed to have angered him by crossing his path..

interesting no the behaviors of humankind?
